Hi, I recently stumbled upon your game Critters for Sale and was taken aback by the astounding visuals. Did you use filters to achieve the gritty moving textures or did you animate the pixels by hand individually? Great work!

Thank you for your comments! Most of what’s in the game is generated through post-processing effects (through shaders in Unity) such as dithering, noise, wiggling, etc… I haven’t drawn anything frame by frame, at least not yet.

Thank you! I used Unity as the game engine. The visuals are mostly GIMP, Aseprite, some shape-morphing tools (the spooky Michael Jackson face transitions were done in this), and whatever floats my boat really since this project was originally meant to be a dump of visual experiments tied together with a story.
